Keisha Zollar - Touring Cast
keisha attended UCSD where she double majored in Theatre Arts and Communications Media Arts. At UCSD she was Co-President of her college's theatre troupe, performed with various sketch-improv groups, performed-wrote-directed more than 20 shows, spread awareness of social injustices using theatre in various campus organizations, and was eventually hired on as an acting consultant teaching sketch comedy and promoting cultural awareness. In 2002 Miss Zollar moved to New York City to attend graduate school at the Actors Studio where she studied acting. Upon graduating she found work as a children's game show host with the show Arithmetickles. Shortly after working with Arithmetickels she began performing in public shows with Improv 4 Kids. In 2006, Keisha formally began her public speaking career with the National Mental Health Awareness Campaign;speaking to youth across America about mental health awareness. This was also the year she began teaching improv and acting workshops in Houston, TX with the YES Central School. Currently, Keisha is working with Improv 4 Kids to develop an educational program to teach youth and adults improv. |
